Canada's Strongest Man 2006

Gatineau, QC
2 & 4 September 2006
Rating: Professional

Notes

Canada's Strongest Man 2006 was held on a rainy Labour Day weekend in Gatineau, in conjunction with the Gatineau Balloon Festival. The athletes competed on Saturday and Monday, packing in 9 events over the two days, with the Sunday being cancelled due to the rain. Jessen Paulin was triumphant for the second year running as an injured Hugo Girard and Travis Lyndon watched from the sidelines. Steve "The Model" Bourgeois had just recovered from pneumonia, had lost 15 lbs and exacerbated an old bicep injury; he still managed a top 6 performance. Stellar performances were turned in by the Quebec athletes, and the western athletes surprised many with their improvement from last year.
