Profile: José Plante

Biography

José was a strongman competitor since 2002, well-known for his shoulder strength and pressing power. A former Canadian Armwrestling Champion, José was once ranked as high as 2nd in the world in that sport. Having attained his goal of becoming Ontario's Strongest Man, Jose announced his retirement at the 2008 North Americans - slightly prematurely, as his final contest, and final retirement from the sport, was in his home town of Dubreuilville.
